ScatterVL Pro will let you alter any aspect of a 3ds max volumetric light.   The ScatterVL Pro Caustic Map plugin enables caustics inside the volume.  Since this map is actually faking caustics effect, rendering times are similar to rendering with Shadow Maps.
ScatterVL Pro can use Raytraced Shadows the same way as Shadow Maps.   ScatterVL Pro can even use DOF, or Glow.   You can choose between updating Z-buffer, Mtl, or Object buffer as an Effect, or Video Post entry.   AFC bezier control makes it easy to manually adjust falloff to whatever you want.  It gives you a complete control over the density depending on the distance from the light origin.   It is ideal for achieving astonishing special effects otherwise impossible to do. Each key can also be animated.
By using FusionWorks, SitniSati's latest technology for advanced atmospherics effects, ScatterVL Pro effect will properly blend with fog and FumeFX. You can easily control radial color of the beam by using built-in Gradients.   Gradients are fully resizeable, while color keys can be saved and loaded from disk.

After purchasing an email is sent that contains activation keys and download links. The download links expire 6 days after so you must download the software as soon as possible.

The installer that is downloaded includes installation options for license manager, Plug-in and render node.

For network licenses you must install the license manager on your license server first then activate your key on the license server.  After that you can install the Plug-in on your 3ds Max workstation, launch 3ds Max and access the plug-in from within. When you first attempt to use the Plug-in you will be prompted to activate or give a license server host name. Once you enter your license server info you will be able to use the plugin.

For render nodes, follow the same steps above for the workstation, after you have successfully accessed the plugin from within 3ds Max on the render node, shutdown 3ds Max and your done.
