Description

Effections bundles are specially priced bundled versions of Re:Vision products. See the Compatibility section to find out which host applications have Effections bundles, and which plugins are included for each of the host applications.

Bundles vary depending on host application.  See below for details

Effections render nodes permit you to execute background render tasks on one or more machines on your network.

Version / Release Updates

RE:Vision Effects announces support for Adobe After Effects CS6 and Premiere Pro CS6.

RE:Vision Effects has announced support for Adobe After Effects CS6 and Premiere Pro CS6. In addition to CS6 support, all of RE:Vision Effects' After Effects-compatible plug-ins now come with uninstallers.

In order to properly work in After Effects CS6 or Premiere Pro CS6, users will need:
  • DE:Noise v2.1: DE:Noise handles spurious frame-to-frame defects ranging from fine digital/electronic noise to blotchy spots (e.g. dirt on the film).
  • FieldsKit: v3.2: FieldsKit allows the user to create interlaced material from progressive material using various techniques, including producing new fields using motion estimation techniques.
  • PV Feather: v1.6: PV Feather performs feathering by using an inner mask for filling, and an outer mask for feather control. (Premiere Pro not supported)
  • RE:Fill: v2.1: RE:Fill can replace missing pixels in intelligent ways
  • RE:Flex: v4.1: RE:Flex creates visually stunning morphs and warps with an easy-to-use interface. (Premiere Pro not supported)
  • RE:Map: v2.2: RE:Map provides professional quality mapping and distortion tools.
  • ReelSmart Motion Blur: v4.1: ReelSmart Motion Blur automatically tracks every pixel in a sequence and blurs based on calculated motion. ReelSmart Motion blur also uses motion vector passes from 3D systems to perform a fast 2D post-process blur to 3D generated images.
  • Shade/Shape: 4.1: Shade/Shape automatic shading techniques from the 2D outline shape of objects, Shade/Shape automatically turns 2D artwork into 3D rendered imagery.
  • Smoothkit: v3.1: Smoothkit is a blurring filter set that combines user-directed controls and feature-sensitive methods. In particular, what is novel is that the most of the tools in SmoothKit allow the user to blur or otherwise “smooth” images while retaining important features, such as edges in the imagery.
  • Twixtor: v5.1: Twixtor creates highly engaging slow motion and speed-ramped shots using intelligent and proprietary motion tracking techniques!
  • Video Gogh: v3.6: Video Gogh turns pictures and videos into painted works of art by placing brush strokes on images and subsequently tracks them from frame to frame to follow the objects in the images. (Premiere Pro not supported)

Specifications & Licensing

System Requirements

Vary depending on the host application being used.  Please refer to each plugins information page for details.

RE:Vision Effects Plugins

Licensing

Floating licenses, you must pick a license server and point your potential clients to look to the server to check out licenses. Our licenses are check out per-machine, so only one license is checked out on a machine even if multiple processes each need a license on that machine.

  • When you are in GUI, a GUI license is checked out. If none are available, the plugin runs in demo mode.
  • Render mode occurs in one of two situations: a) when you fire up the host with no GUI, and b) when in Shake you render a flipbook from Shake (the flipbook application actually is a render-only applications as far as it reports Shake's status to our plugin). If you are in render mode the following license checkouts are attempted:
    1. if a GUI license is checked out for the machine, then that license is used to render (that way you don't check out a GUI and a render-only on the same machine if someone is already using an interactive license on the machine).
    2. if no GUI license is checked out for the machine, then a render-only license is checked out.
    3. If no-render only licenses are available after step 2, then a GUI license is checked out (if available) for the render-only process. (You should know this, in case you fire up too many renders, then you may find yourself without a GUI license to use!)

GUI licenses may be used in a render-only context, but then the GUI license is not available for another machine. So what this means is that at the end of the day, if everyone is finished with their GUI licenses, then you can use all render AND GUI license to render with.

License Manager Requirements

    • Windows XP, Vista and up, including 64-bit Windows versions.
    • Macintosh OS X 10.4 and up.
    • Linux: the software is compiled linking to libstdc++ v6 (compatible with gcc 3.4 and above), so your Linux must have the appropriate .so files to support this. Most, if not all, modern Linux variants support this. Note that Red Hat 9 and RHEL 3 do not, by default, come with the proper .so files needed for our software to run.

Node-Locked Licenses

With the purchase of a license, you get a year's worth of license transfer support. After that, you can buy an additional year's worth of license transfer support for 15% of the current price (and so on). In this way you don't have to pay for floating license software that would increase the price of the product by a substantial amount, yet you still have a way to transfer licenses if necessary.

Licenses can be transferred for an additional fee
